Premier Volleyball League – Volleyball Queensland

Premier Volleyball League (PVL) and Junior Premier Volleyball League (JPVL) are the highest levels of weekly volleyball played in South East Queensland. PVL will be offered to six divisions, Premier, Division 1, Division 2, Division 3A, Division 3B and Premier Junior (formerly 19A), while JPVL will be offered to three divisions, U19B, U17 and U15.

The basis of this team formed the 1973 Queensland Under 18 Team which won the first Australian Title for Queensland in Melbourne. The Champion team coached by Peter Marr was Richard Clews (Capt), Graham Sung, Wayne MacNamara, Lloyd Wilton, Wayne Webber, Robert Coupland, Mike Kurittu, Ray Horn, Peter Hyatt. A Queensland Junior Women’s team also competed for the first time in 1973 finishing 4th.
